A Little Local History

If you’d like to learn about Chiriqui (Panama) history, check out this post on the railroad that was in existence in the early 1900s and this one about the sugar processing plant that sent the finished product by rail to the ports of David. The railroad even had a branch between Potrerillos and Boquete! A neat blog from the Potrerillos Arriba Infoplaza.

A savanna is…

"...a natural and stable ecosystem occuring under a tropical climate having a relatively continuous layer of xeromorphic grasses and sedges, and often with a discontinuous layer of low trees and shrubs."
